Looking for a guest speaker?
Representatives from Cottage by the Sea would love to visit your region, addressing Lions, Rotary and Probus Service Clubs, Church or any special interest groups, telling our fascinating story and history. You will learn how, back in the 1890s, one of Australia’s oldest charities started with the help of two ladies travelling around the state in horse and cart soliciting donations! Also the history of catering firstly for convalescing children through to a wide range of marginalised children today. And how the children firstly came to the Cottage by paddlesteamer, boat or train through to being picked up in our own bus today.
Most importantly, you will hear about the wonderful activities experienced by disadvantaged children attending the Cottage today.

“We are living in a shed in the middle of a wet paddock. We lost everything and my husband’s work place also burnt down so he had no job. If only the Cottage knew how much it meant to our family and community to think our lucky kids were having such a special time after everything we have been through.”
